Looking for the next TV chef
Ottawa based television production company, Knight Enterprises, has
launched a national talent search for the next food television
Superstar.
May 27, 2008 – Ottawa based television production company, Knight Enterprises, has launched a national talent search for the next food television Superstar. "We're looking for someone who is fun, articulate, charismatic, and passionate about food and cooking" says Executive Producer Chris Knight. "The person we are looking for likely has never have considered being on television. We're hoping to discover someone who can be the face of the next big food series we produce".
Knight Enterprises is known for their food content programming, having produced over 400 episodes of food television, including such titles as, The Great Canadian Food Show, Cook Like a Chef, License to Grill, and This Food that Wine. Their highly acclaimed programming is seen in over 90 countries and have generated 6 bestselling cookbooks.
"We're prepared to go into immediate development with someone who has can excite, entertain, and move our audiences. What separates good talent from great talent," says Knight's Senior Producer, Kathy Doherty, "is charisma, passion and food knowledge. You can't fake that stuff."
To apply for an audition spot, potential hosts should send a short video of themselves to Knight Enterprises (more info at www.knight-tv.com). There will then be an audition process to narrow the field down to one or two possible Superstars. "By the time we're done, someone's life will have been changed forever" says Knight.
