KFC And Pizza Hut’s Hunger Relief Campaign Raises RM1 Million

26, 2008, Maylaysia– KFC and Pizza Hut Malaysia's Hunger Relief Period 2008
campaign raised RM1 million (about $341,408 CAD) for charity.




The
collected amount included contributions from KFC Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia
as well as Pizza Hut Singapore, it said in a statement Wednesday.

More than 1,600 staff and employees of KFC and Pizza Hut took part in the
"Be The Movement" campaign, a 2.5 km charity walk in support
of the World Relief Period 2008 campaign.

The walk was the culmination of a month long fund raising campaign launched by
the two restaurant chains in Malaysia on Oct. 14 in conjunction with the World
Hunger Relief Week, a joint effort between Yum! Brands Inc and the United
Nations World Food Programme.
