Hostme and Lightspeed POS will integrate their technologies to help restaurateurs streamline their operations.

Hostme, based in Washington, D.C., will integrate its front-of-the-house systems with Montreal’s Lightspeed, a cloud-based point-of-sale and e-commerce solution for independent businesses.

“Our partnership with Lightspeed is a win-win-win for our two companies and for our customers – restaurants and chains of all sizes that seek a more seamless reservation and table management system and a powerful, scalable, cloud-based POS,” said Evgeny Popov, CEO and cofounder of Hostme, in a news release.

The Hostme app is designed to help restaurants seat more and spend less through reservation and table management. Hostme helps streamline front-of-house operations, eliminate costly no-shows, boost return business and increase staff satisfaction. The app makes operations accessible via any mobile device in nine languages.

Lightspeed provides point-of-sale, merchant services, e-commerce and loyalty and customer relationship management, for hospitality and retail customers. Hostme is Lightspeed’s first reservation system partner as it begins to work with full-service restaurants.

The companies are joining forces to help restaurant owners and operators tighten up their table turnarounds and get more control over revenue and costs.

“We both share a passion for customer success. Hostme’s waitlist management is a stellar feature with in-depth analytics,” explained Peter Dougherty, Director of Partnerships at Lightspeed. “By working together, we’re really providing technology that facilitates how restauranteurs manage their businesses.”

De Witte Berg, a restaurant in Belgium, is already using the combined technology.
