Food Allergy Canada launches online training
Canada – Food Allergy Canada has launched an online training course that focuses on the prevention, recognition, and management of anaphylaxis.
The free, medically reviewed resource is designed for people with potentially life-threatening allergies and those who care for them.
Anaphylaxis in the Community uses graphics, video animations and audio, case studies, practice scenarios, and step-by-step visual guides. Users can review material, complete a short quiz, and print a personalized certificate of completion. The training is available in both English and French.
The Allergy Aware website and courses have been developed by Food Allergy Canada (formerly Anaphylaxis Canada) and Leap Learning Technologies, in partnership with the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Training may be found at http://www.allergyaware.ca/.
