Gabriel Pizza Redblacks contest plays on friendly rivalry

encourages football fans and customers to cast their vote for one of two new
four-topping pizzas.

encourages football fans and customers to cast their vote for one of two new
four-topping pizzas.

The Ottawa-area franchise is teaming with the Ottawa
Redblacks football team for a promotion featuring pizzas known as The Northside
and The Southside. The Northside features Steak, Bacon, hot peppers, red onion,
topped off with

drizzled barbecue sauce. The Southside features mushroom,
chorizo sausage, roasted red peppers, red onion.

The pizzas will be available at all Gabriel Pizza locations
and by the slice at TD Place from Sept. 26 until Oct. 24.

The company encourages fans to vote through Twitter,
Facebook and Instagram by posting a message or picture with the hashtag
#NORTHSIDEGABES or #SOUTHSIDEGABES.

“The north side versus south side debate has been a
generational dispute,” said George Hanna, president of Gabriel Pizza, in
a news release. “We’re proud to support the Redblacks franchise and CFL in
Ottawa.”

“One of the great things about partnering with Gabriel
Pizza, over and above the delicious pizza, is their understanding of our
traditions,” said Jeff Hunt, president of OSEG Sports, the Redblacks parent
company.

The winning recipe selection, which is based on the combined
number of votes and orders, will become the official Redblacks Pizza and a
permanent menu item. It will be announced at TD Place during the Oct. 24
Montreal game.
