A new illuminated cash drawer is addressing the problem of conducting cash transactions in low-light environments.
The PayVue cash drawer automatically illuminates the till when opened with just the right amount of light to see, but not draw significant attention to, its contents, manufacturer MMF POS said in a press release.
Soft low-lights can make it difficult to monitor cash-handling activities, the company said.
The drawer also features the LockIt Integrated Secure Cash Drop Compartment with a dedicated media slot to help protect high value cash and media. Together these innovative solutions make it easier for the cashier in low-light settings to correctly identify cash and coin with an eye to improving payment accuracy, speed and good customer service, while promoting good loss-prevention management.
The PayVue system is available from MMF POS in Canada through your POS system installer, who may purchase the system from one of five distributors in Canada: BlueStar, Scansource, Ingram Micro and Synnex.
