Food tourism forum open to Brampton businesses

Brampton, Ont. – The Culinary Tourism Alliance and the City of Brampton are hosting a one-day Forum on Food Tourism to develop what it calls a “Taste of Place” in the city. Restaurants, hotels, festivals and events, tours, culinary schools, farmers markets and other stakeholders are invited to participate.

The day-long session will include a look at the current food scene in Brampton and its readiness to move actively into food tourism. Forum leaders will engage stakeholders and discuss the impact of the millennial generation and their passion for culinary experiences. Also on the agenda is a moderated panel discussion with a cross-section of industry insiders and a lunchtime keynote address from local celebrity chef Jason Rosso. The day will be capped with a networking session.

The event is free (lunch provided) and open to Brampton businesses interested and involved in the food tourism sector, takes place Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Alderlea, 40 Elizabeth Street South, Brampton ON, L6Y 1R1. Those interested may register for the event by Sept. 21.
