Food market opens in Newmarket, Ont., mall

Newmarket, Ont. – A food market featuring a artisanal merchants and fresh, local food, officially opened on Sept. 7 at the Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ont.

Market & Co., owned by Oxford Properties, is a 40,000-square-foot space that brings together 20 merchants, including MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company, Pier 87 Fish Market & Grill’s raw bar, Amadeus Patisserie, Amano Kitchen, Bake Three Fifty, First Batch, FloralEscence, Humble Roots Organic, Ma’s Best Quality Soups, Newmarket Olive Oil Co., Our Farm Organic Bakery, Ray Woodey’s Craft Chippery, Seed to Sausage Meatery, Starbucks with Reserve Offerings, Sugar King Factory, Sweet Jesus, The Wine Shop and Tasting Room, Union Chicken, Village Juicery, and Vince’s Market.

Doors officially opened in the morning with a festive bread-breaking ceremony followed by live entertainment, complimentary cooking classes with Chef Julian Pancer, food stations and giveaways.
