February 9, 2011, Toronto – Mississauga’s Peter Rae kicked off his Super
Bowl Saturday morning with a win in Pizza Pizza’s Ultimate Football
Pizza Party, just in time for the big game.
In partnership with Oakville Sight & Sound, Pizza Pizza surprised
Rae with the grand prize, a home entertainment system valued at $5,000.
Rae was automatically entered into Pizza Pizza's Super Bowl contest on
Feb. 3 after placing an online "future order" for the game. His winning
order consisted of $169.81 worth of pie.
"The look on Peter's face when we showed up at his door was priceless,"
said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza. "Pizza Pizza
is all about delivering quality and convenience. Giving our customers
the option to place a future order is another way we're able to do
that."
As part of his prize, Rae won an entertainment system that included a
46" Samsung LED TV, Samsung Blu-ray player, Yamaha HDMI receiver and
Paradigm home theatre speaker system. Technicians from Oakville Sight
& Sound helped deliver and install the system at Rae’s home before
the big game.
"Winning this contest was so exciting, I was shocked when the crew
showed up at our door," said Rae. "We got to watch the Super Bowl in
style and were amazed at the quality of the TV and surround sound.
Thanks to Pizza Pizza, the adults had their own room to watch the Super
Bowl in and didn't have to share with the teenagers."
The contest was open to all residents of Ontario who placed a "future
order" for Super Bowl Sunday online at PizzaPizza.ca between Jan. 20 and
Feb. 4.
