Vancouver – Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria will sell its signature Campania tomato sauce this holiday season to provide food for youth in need through a charity called Mealshare.

Until Dec. 31, one meal will be provided to a Canadian youth in need for every jar of Campania sauce purchased in the community in which the sauce was sold, Famoso and Mealshare said in a news release.

“Mealshare has become a very important partner for Famoso since we began selling our Campania Tomato Sauce jars in 2013,” said Justin Lussier, chief executive officer and co-founder of Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria. “We want to do our part in helping end youth hunger across Canada by giving back to the communities in which our restaurants operate.”

This is the fifth year for the campaign. Funds raised from last year’s campaign provided 16,115 meals to youth in need across Western Canada and Ontario.

“The Campania Tomato Sauce campaign continues to amaze us, and we’re excited to partner with Famoso again to provide meals to hungry youth in local Canadian communities,” said Andrew Hall, co-founder of Mealshare.
