March 8, 2010, Fort Lauderdale, FL – As consumer demand increases for online coupons, the deal site Coupon Craze says it has experienced explosive growth in recent years as companies expand their online marketing strategies.

In the past four years Coupon Craze has experienced a 175 per cent increase in the number of retailers offered on the site, with the most significant growth happening in 2008, the forefront of the financial crisis. As a result of this added investment from retailers, consumers are benefiting greatly with savings. The company states that its users are now saving over $1 million US each month.

“The recession has triggered a new mindset among shoppers, which has ultimately created a win-win relationship for both retailers and consumers,” said Christian Gordun, CEO of Coupon Craze. “Retailers are recognizing that online coupon channels are an effective means for customer retention and acquisition. We've seen retailers clear their inventory, which in the end means consumers are taking advantage of the additional savings.”

The current market growth is expected to continue according to Borrell Associates, which estimates that the value of online coupons redemptions is set to jump more than 50 per cent to $12.7 billion US in 2010 and to $22 billion US by 2014. Consistent with this forecast, Coupon Craze estimates that the number of retailers will increase by 50 per cent this year.
