Niagara Falls, Ont. – The Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites has opened Corso, an Italian restaurant that builds an educational dining experience around the unique regions of Italy.

The 350-seat restaurant highlights specialities unique to some of Italy’s most popular destinations. From the Northern Alps to southern Sicily, Corso servers, known as “captains,” will guide guests through the courses and the regions from which each dish comes, the hotel said in a news release.

Corso features unlimited dishes for guests, including an antipasto bar with more than 60 items, homemade sourdough pizza, family-style pasta dishes, rotating main courses, desserts and specialty Italian coffees.  The restaurant also offers 12 wines by the glass – six from across Italy and six from the Niagara Region.

The restaurant imports all of its pastas, cheeses, meats and olives from Italy.

One of the unique features of the restaurant is its pentoli pan, which measures one metre wide and is used to cook signature pasta dishes. Diners can watch chefs at work using the giant pan to prepare their dishes.

“Corso is more than just a restaurant, it’s a journey,” says Nick Montanaro, director of food and beverage operations of Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites. “Italy is home to some of the most delicious cuisine in the world and we are excited to share our love for the country and its traditional fare with our guests.”

Located in the Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites on Fallsview Boulevard, in Niagara Falls, Corso is now open to the public.
