for a very special pizza party at the Hospital for Sick Children to celebrate the raising of $300,000 in 2013.

March 20, 2014, Toronto – Some of Toronto’s
most cherished team mascots joined Pizza Pizza and Children's Miracle Network
for a very special pizza party at the Hospital for Sick Children to celebrate the raising of $300,000 in 2013.
The pizza party, held on March 19, marked a successful year of
fundraising for Slices for Smiles, Pizza Pizza’s fundraising program in support
of Children’s Miracle Network and its member hospitals across Canada.
Stripes from the Toronto Raptors, Jason from
the Toronto Argonauts, Boomer from the Brampton Beasts, Sauga from the
Mississauga Steelheads and Pizza Pizza’s Dough Dude were among the mascots on
hand.
Ambassadors for the event were Pat Finelli,
chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza; Ameera Virani, director of corporate
partnerships for Children’s Miracle Network; Adrian Horwood, vice-president of
corporate partnerships, SickKids Foundation.
The program has raised $1.3 million since
2007 for children’s causes.
