Chef of the Year: Open division full, Traditional has spots

Simcoe, Ont. – Canadian Pizza magazine is seeking pizza makers to compete in the Traditional division of our Chef of the Year competition, at the Canadian Pizza Summit, on Oct. 15 in Toronto.

Our Chef of the Year (Open) division is now full; however, there are still spots available in Traditional and the Great Pizza Box Fold-Off.

The rules are different to those for the Open division. For the Traditional, competitors must provide the dough, cheese/cheese blend and spices. They must use a red sauce. No more than two (2) of the following toppings may be added: pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, onions and olives. Read full details here.

The winner of each division will receive$500 to spend in Las Vegas where they will have just won a free trip to compete in the International Pizza Challenge at Pizza Expo 2019. Canadian Pizza magazine will feature winners on the cover and present a plaque to display proudly in your pizzeria.

In the Great Pizza Box Fold-Off, 10 folders will compete to show how fast they can fold 10 pizza boxes. Read details here.
