Changes ahead for Wood Stone

Carpenter will take on the role of CEO and chief storyteller, while Hegarty will assume the responsibilities of COO and chief tinkerer.

April 5, 2011, Bellingham, Wash. – After 20 years at the helm of Wood
Stone Corporation, Keith Carpenter and Harry Hegarty will be stepping
into new roles, allowing them to take some well-deserved long weekends.
Carpenter will take on the role of CEO and chief storyteller, while
Hegarty will assume the responsibilities of COO and chief tinkerer.

Stepping into Carpenter’s and Hegarty’s shoes will be Kurt Elckmeyer, newly appointed president of sales and marketing, and Wade Bobb, Wood Stone’s new president of engineering, manufacturing and IT.

Tim Tracy and Justin Mitchell will continue in their roles as vice-president of manufacturing and vice-president of finance, respectively.

Elckmeyer and Bobb aren’t the only ones taking on challenging new roles at Wood Stone Corporation. Other staffing changes in store for the company include:

Phil Eaton, a regional sales manager with Wood Stone since 2003, will take on Elckmeyer’s former role as vice president of sales and marketing.

Jackie Val Zwol, who has been with Wood Stone for 15 years, will transition into her new role as vice-president, consultant champion and team building.

Merrill Bevan, who has covered the company’s international marketing for the last decade, will become vice-president of international sales and team building.

Wood Stone Corporation was founded by Keith Carpenter and Harry Hegarty in 1990.
