Toronto –  Western pizza chain Carbone Coal Fired Pizza Inc. has signed a deal to work with 1169071 B.C. Ltd. The numbered company will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares in the capital of Carbone.

The company will operated under another name and pursue a listing of the Company’s common shares on a recognized stock exchange in Canada, Carbone said in a news release.

Carbone Coal Fired Pizza has six operating locations and four new locations underway in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The chain uses coal heating to cook pizzas at 850 F and, in their downtown Winnipeg operation, features specified draft beer tables where customers can pour their own beer.

Carbone, which opened in 2010, is seeking to expand and sell approximately 50 to 100 new locations across Canada by the end of 2020, a majority of which are intended to be franchised/licensed, along with area development agreements under discussion for the Australia and New Zealand market.

The chain is teaming up with Australian chef, restaurateur, author, Netflix producer and TV presenter, Pete Evans, to deliver a Taste of Summer Pizza Series which aims to satisfy growing demand for gourmet, vegan, keto, paleo and health-conscious pizzas by focusing on traits like charred and blistered crusts.
