Calgary will celebrate all things pizza with its first YYC Pizza Week, modelled on the city's successful YYC Burger Week.

Calgary will celebrate all things pizza with its first YYC Pizza Week, modelled on the city's successful YYC Burger Week.
Up to 50 restaurants will fight for coveted Pizza crowns in
the Thin crust, Thick crust and Unusual categories with one-of-a-kind pizzas never seen before in their repertoire.
For each $20 medium or large pizza sold, $3 will be directly donated to Meals on
Wheels to enhance awareness of the service to Calgarians in
need and to raise funds for its daily operations, said a new release.
The week-long event will highlight such specialty pizzas as sushi pzza, and pies made with mac 'n' cheese or curried lobster.
Chopped Canada and
Top Chef Canada Season 4 contestant Pierre Lamielle designed a logo and line of T-shirts
specifically for YYC Pizza Week.
