Business groups lobby for card surcharge

January 19, 2010, Toronto – Groups representing Canada's retailers and small businesses have angered the Consumers' Association of Canada by suggesting that they should be allowed to apply a surcharge to consumers who use credit and debit cards to make a purchase, reports The Toronto Star.
