April 18, 2009, Calgary – The Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices
Association (CRFA) appointed Bruce Guerin manager of the Alberta Foodservice Show, held in September. Guerin produced this year’s B.C.
Foodservice Expo, which enjoyed a double-digit increase in attendance over last
year.

“Bruce is recognized for his ability to
anticipate the needs of both exhibitors and attendees, and has an excellent
track record of producing quality events,” says Steven Barber, CRFA’s vice president of expositions.  “In this
challenging business environment, operators are looking for products and
services to help them stay competitive, become more efficient and keep up with
the latest trends.  Under Bruce’s
direction the Alberta Foodservice Show will deliver on all those fronts.”

CRFA owns and operates four trade shows for the
hospitality industry:  The Alberta
Foodservice Show, B.C. Foodservice Expo in Vancouver,
the CRFA Show in Toronto,
and ApEx in Atlantic Canada.  Despite the
tough economy, all three shows that have been held so far in 2009 have seen an
increase in attendance this year over last.

Proceeds from these trade shows help to fund
CRFA’s government lobbying activities for the betterment of the foodservice
industry across Canada.
