Aug. 29, 2008, Richmond, B.C. – Boston Pizza is working cooperatively with
both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Maple Leaf Foods as part
of a voluntary recall of all meat products produced at their Bartor Road
facility in Toronto.

Maple Leaf Foods only supplies Boston Pizza with roast beef produced at
their Bartor Road facility and this product has been tested and has showed no
evidence of contamination.

However, out of an abundance of caution, Boston Pizza has stopped serving
roast beef supplied by Maple Leaf Foods' Bartor Road facility effective
August 23, 2008.
In the meantime Boston Pizza staff will continue to follow strict food
handling and safety procedures.
