February 14, 2010, Richmond, B.C. – As of January, the
Boston Pizza Foundation had raised more than $10 million for local, national
and global non-profit organizations.

The foundation, which started in 1990, partners with the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
(JDRF), and Kids Help Phone.

"We want to thank our incredible franchisees and hard
working and enthusiastic restaurant staff in our more than 340 stores right
across Canada, as well as our generous supplier network and corporate staff
whose commitment and dedication made achieving this major milestone possible. It
truly is a team effort,” said Boston Pizza Foundation executive director Cheryl
Treliving. "We especially want to thank Boston Pizza guests for their
continuing generosity and support of the Boston Pizza Foundation."

"Since our partnership began in 1995, the Boston Pizza
Foundation has donated more than $2 million to our service," said Kathie
Jagger, regional director of British Columbia for Kids Help Phone. “Boston
Pizza has helped enable Kids Help Phone to become the largest phone and web
counselling service in Canada, and to truly be there for kids.”

"The more than $2 million committed from the Boston
Pizza Foundation since 2001 has been instrumental in raising awareness for Canadian
children living with type 1 diabetes, and in helping us reach our goal of
finding a cure,” said Rita Thodos, regional manager for JDRF in British
Columbia.

Additionally, the foundation has contributed more than $2.7
million to the Heart and Stroke Foundation since 1993.

All Boston Pizza restaurants contribute to the Boston Pizza
Foundation annually by hosting various events such as golf tournaments and
charity walks, and participating in local, regional, and national fundraising
campaigns like the annual Valentine's Day heart-shaped pizza campaign.

The foundation's largest annual fundraising event,
Valentine's Day, is currently underway in all 340 Boston Pizza locations across
Canada. $1 from the sale of all paper hearts and heart-shaped pizzas go to the
many charities that the foundation supports.
