Orlando, FL – Sixteen pizzerias have made the Top 200 restaurant chains in the U.S., according to a news report from Aaron Allen and Associates Global Restaurant Consulting.

Within this rank, pizza sales increased at an average compound annual growth rate of 5.4 per cent over the last two fiscal years, the organization said in a news release.

Two pizza chains that represent only three per cent of the segment’s sales – Blaze Pizza (135.9 per cent CAGR) and Marco’s Pizza (20.3 per cent CAGR) – have been the fastest growing. Domino’s, with about a quarter of the market share of these chains, was the third in terms of growth with a 13.9 per cent CAGR.

Pizzerias in the Top 200 list have an average unit volume of $949,000.
