ComplianceMate showcased the eHACCP industry’s first LoRa-enabled temperature sensor at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago.

The new ComplianceMate sensors won the Internet of Things (IOT)/Wearable Technologies (WT) Innovation World Cup 2017/18 in the Retail category earlier this year.

The new temperature sensors surmount environmental challenges that may stymie other devices in commercial kitchens, such as transmitting through stainless steel, insulated cold-holding units, and concrete structures, said CM Systems, manufacturer of the sensor, in a news release. The sensors operator through a 900-MHz radio that adheres to the LoRaWAN specification.

These wireless temperature sensors join the rest of the ComplianceMate smart kitchens system: a tablet device, Bluetooth hand probe(s), and proprietary management software to document temperatures and complete custom checklists. The sensors work wirelessly while providing alerts, reports and analysis to all levels of management, from store level to owners and corporate.
