App aims to reduce foodborne illnesses
HealthSpace has teamed up with Keboola Data Services and Xotecx Solutions Corp. to make a quality control and customer experience app to improve food safety and customer engagement in restaurants.
Healthspace is a technology company that provides inspection, information, communication and data management systems for governments, agriculture and the restaurant and hospitality sector. Keboola Data Services is a data analytics solutions provider. Xotecx Solutions Corp. is a tech company that provides customer engagement software.
The collaboration is designed to enhance HealthSpace’s existing self-inspection solution called HealthSpace CS Pro. By integrating this platform into an established quality assurance program, restaurant staff can perform quality checks in order to reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses and better manage their own operations, the company said in a news release.
When the health department performs a routine inspection the results are immediately uploaded to the app so management can easily compare their internal results with what the regulator finds. The app also serves as an opportunity to engage with customers more frequently. Customers can leave feedback, access information about upcoming events, specials and information about loyalty program benefits all through their smartphones.
“This is the first application that combines internal audits with health inspections and customer experience to provide a complete, operational picture for food service managers,” HealthSpace president Joe Willmott said in a press statement.
