Blanc was awarded the All Canadian Wine Championship's (ACWC) Gold
Medal in the Sauvignon Blanc category, announced Murray Marshall,

May 27, 2008, Toronto – Dan Aykroyd's 2007 Discovery Series Sauvignon Blanc was awarded the All Canadian Wine Championship's (ACWC) Gold Medal in the Sauvignon Blanc category, announced Murray Marshall, President & CEO of Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Ltd., the owners of a number of Ontario wineries including Dan Aykroyd Wines.
Also taking the Bronze Medal in the Red Vitis Vinifera blends category at the All Canadian Wine Championships was the Dan Aykroyd 2006 Discovery Series Cabernet Shiraz.

Founded in 1981, the 'All Canadian Wine Championships" is the oldest and largest annual competition for Canadian wines in Canada. This year was a record year for the competition with 1045 wines submitted from a total of 152 wineries. The wines are judged by a panel of highly respected sommeliers, writers, consultants and wine professionals assembled from across Canada and the United States.
This award follows the announcement of last week's launch of both the Dan Aykroyd Discovery Series Sauvignon Blanc ($14.95) and Dan Aykroyd Discovery Series Cabernet Shiraz ($16.95) in Ontario at the LCBO.
Recently, it was also announced that Dan Aykroyd's 2005 Signature Reserve Vidal Icewine won 'Wine of the Year' at the Ontario Wine Awards.
