Edmonton – Pizza 73 has launched a tandoori chicken pizza at its locations in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan as a lead-up to Grey Cup Sunday.
The Tandoori Chicken Pizza pairs a tangy base sauce with tender oven-roasted pieces of Tandoori Chicken, red onions and green peppers, the company said in a news release. The pizza can be ordered with Pizza 73’s signature Large Pizza and Pop deal for $14.99.
“Pizza and wings are a staple on game night and we’re excited for football fans to try this new menu offering,” said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza 73, in the release. “The Tandoori Pizza is a savoury pizza that is sure to satisfy those looking for a little bit of extra heat, and pair perfectly with our golden crispy wings as part of our Everyday Deal. Since pizza is about sharing, we like to continue to develop and evolve a variety of options to suit every flavour profile.”
Pizza 73 said it expects Grey Cup Sunday will be about 25 per cent busier than an average Sunday.
In addition, as part of its 30th Anniversary celebration, Pizza 73 will provide customers a Scratch & Match card for a chance to win 30,000 Air Miles Reward Miles, $30,000 in cash, and food prizes.
