Dooher named Restaurants Canada president and CEO

June 11, 2015, Toronto – Chair of the board of Restaurants Canada Paul Methot announced Donna Dooher has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the association effective June 1. Dooher has been in the role on an interim basis since November 2014.

“The Board of Directors is very pleased to have Donna at the helm of Restaurants Canada as we continue the search for a permanent CEO,” Methot said in a news release. “In just a few short months Donna has proven to be a strong, committed and effective leader. Her deep understanding of, and passion for, the hospitality industry is putting a sharp focus on serving our members and building a vibrant restaurant community across Canada.”

With more than 30 years of professional experience in foodservice, Dooher has made her mark on Canada’s culinary landscape as a celebrated chef, caterer, TV personality, cookbook author and restaurateur, the release said.
