July 20, 2009, Milan, Italy—The A.B. Tech
expo, a baking and technology exhibition for the pizza, fresh pasta, baking,
pastry and confectionary industries to be held in Italy from Oct. 23 to 27, 2010, has
received international exhibition status.
The first A.B. tech expo was held in 2007,
drawing 30,000 attendees made up of 10 per cent foreigners from 91 countries.
The 2010 date marks the second event.
“It is not easy for an event to receive the
official recognition of international exhibition. It often takes at least two
or three editions to achieve the number of foreign exhibitors and visitors
required by the competent body. We have reached the target in our first edition
and this is a matter of great satisfaction,” says Aldo Tagliabue, the expo’s
organizer.
