CRI announces Missing Slice award
Written by Canadian Pizza
July 9, 2009, Findlay, Ohio - Corporate Research International (CRI) is running a new contest called the Missing Slice Award as an online sweepstakes for Canadian and American pizza fans to nominate their favourite pizzeria. If pizza shop owners go to the Missing Slice site and click on the pizzerias link at the top of the page, they will find a flyer that they can download and print to let customers know of the contest.  Pizza shops can hang this in the store or attach it to the delivery boxes.

To raise local awareness about the pizzeria's nomination and to bolster votes, CRI helps pizza shops market their nomination within their local communities through flyers, press releases and a video that pizza shops can feature on their Web site.

The contest allows North Americans to nominate their favorite local pizza shop for the Missing Slice Award and enter into a drawing for a chance to win free pizza for a year.

"The Missing Slice Award is given to the pizza shop that serves pizza so good you can't help swiping a slice," says Mike Mallett, president of CRI. "CRI wants to provide local pizza shop customers with a forum to tell their whole community why their local pizza shop is better than all the rest."

To promote the campaign, CRI has developed a YouTube video that humorously delivers the message, "employees are doing everything right” in light of the recent Domino’s video debacle.

The sweepstakes closes Sept. 30, and the pizza shop with the most number of submissions will receive the Missing Slice Award. In addition, all submissions for the winning pizza shop will be entered into a drawing to win $1,000 worth of pizza from the winning pizza shop, courtesy of CRI.
