July 3, 2009, Toronto – Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73 exceeded their goal of $100, 000 in their recent Slices for
Smiles fundraiser.
In total, more than $101,000 was raised for Children’s Miracle Network through the company’s Slices for
Smiles Foundation.
The campaign, which ran from April 27 to May 3 in
participating Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73 locations, was designed to support local
children’s hospitals across the country.
For one week, customers enjoyed select menu items at a
promotional price with a percentage of proceeds directed to the Slices for
Smiles Foundation. Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73 also incorporated the option to add
a donation to all online and call centre orders while Pizza Pizza employed
additional fundraising channels including the sale of specially-designed
Children’s Miracle Network balloons and in-store coin donation boxes.
