Stankiewicz of London, Ont., has trademarked the name Canadian Pizza Team
Corporation and is looking to put together a team of pizza acrobatics and
culinary competitors to represent Canada.
The newly founded Canadian Pizza Team has a
website and logo in the works. Stankiewicz says he is looking for a minimum of
four people, aged 18 and up, to comprise the acrobatic team that would compete
in spinning, fastest box folding and slap categories at international events.
Stankiewicz has been working on legally
securing the name for about a year, the idea forming after he noted a small
Canadian contingent of competitors at the 2008 Las Vegas Pizza Expo. Pizzaiolos
