Pizza Nova pulls plastic bags from all locations
Written by Canadian Pizza
June 5, 2009, Toronto - Effective June 1, in tandem with the introduction of of Toronto's new bylaw requiring all merchants, to charge a minimum of five cents for each plastic shopping bag, Pizza Nova has voluntarily discontinued the use of all plastic bags from all of their restaurant locations across Ontario.      "We appreciate and support the efforts being put forth by the city to reduce the distribution and use of plastic bags," says Domenic Primucci, executive vice-president of the family owned business. "As supporters of several environmental initiatives, we feel that discontinuing the use of plastic bags at all of our locations across the province is an action that serves to benefit our community."

Pizza Nova will continue to provide their customers with free bags to carry their product that meet the environmental requirements of the new bylaw.
