Jacob's Creek brings Three Vines to Quebec
Written by CNW Group

March 23, 2009, Montreal - For its North American debut, Jacob's Creek launched Three Vines Shiraz Cabernet Tempranillo exclusively in Quebec.

The product will hit SAQ store shelves in April.

"Our Three Vines Shiraz Cabernet Tempranillo is a blend of classic and contemporary, in taste, style and technique," says Philip Laffer, winemaker at Jacob's Creek wines. "Quebec is home to a culture of sophisticated and adventurous wine aficionados. They are knowledgeable about classic wines, but always willing to try something new and unique. And since Jacob's Creek(R) is Quebec's leading Australian wine, it is only fitting that Three Vines should make its North American debut here."

First launched in Australia in 2007, this wine is an expression of three grape varieties - Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are a favourite blend among Australian wines, as the smoothness and fruit flavour of the Shiraz are complemented by the structure of the Cabernet.

Three Vines adds a twist to a classic style by including Tempranillo - for centuries Spain's most revered grape variety - which now also thrives in South Eastern Australia. The Tempranillo adds elements of intensity and richness along with notes of cherry and spice, for a final blend that marries new world and old for a contemporary, quintessentially Australian style.
