Do you have Canada’s Ultimate Pizza? Canadian Pizza Magazine is searching for Canada’s Pizza Chef of the Year 2008, and we want to know if you think your creation is the best in the nation. We’re looking for a pizza that truly represents Canadian tastes and our unique cultural make-up. The ingredient possibilities are endless; but the pizza must have some market appeal. Finalists may be asked to submit menus from their pizzeria/restaurant, as entry rules require that pizza must represent a minimum of 40 per cent of your total menu. There are no ingredient restrictions! The winner of Canadian Pizza Magazine’s Pizza Chef of the Year 2008 will win a trip to Las Vegas, Nev. on March 31 to attend the International Pizza Expo. Included in the package are accommodations, entry to the Pizza Expo AND a guaranteed spot in the finals of the International Pizza Challenge, where our pizza chef will go head to head with other world-class pizzaiolos to make the best traditional pie, using the exact same nine ingredients. A second prize is also being offer, which includes a trip to Las Vegas, accommodations and admission to the International Pizza Expo, AND a guaranteed spot in the International Pizza Challenge (preliminary round). Winners will be announced February 29, 2008. Winners must be legally able to travel to the United States and MUST attend the 2008 International Pizza Expo to receive the full prize package.
