August 19, 2011 – A fun afternoon at the
Concious Food Festival last weekend showed me how good this movement is at
telling the story of their food.

January 11, 2011 - If you want to spend some time in serious reflection about
the industrial food process, I highly recommend reading Omnivore’s Dilemma by
Michael Pollan. The non-fiction account follows Pollan from corn fields to slaughterhouses
and hunting wild boar as he traces the history of four different meals by starting at their
initial sources.

November 8, 2010 - Domino’s
is one brand that’s been an example of reputation damage control since their
YouTube fiasco. The company appears to have recovered fine and is steadily
continuing global expansion with recent moves into Berlin and new stores in
India. Since being thrust into the limelight, they’ve opted to stay there with
a number of buzz generating initiatives.

September 2, 2010 - October
is national pizza month, which makes it extra fitting that a group of
independent pizzerias have decided to take on the chains with the intention of
making October 10 the first Independent Pizzeria Day.

July 26, 2010 - I ordered a pizza recently and decided to try a new place. I
went in to pick up my order and was disappointed by the many simple ways the
two staffers really messed up. Here’s hoping your staff don’t provide the
following performance for any of your customers.

June 28, 2010 - I didn’t plan on being around for the G20.
As a Toronto resident, I thought it would be the perfect weekend to get away.
But, alas, I got sidetracked and instead ended up strolling through Saturday’s
carnage alongside hundreds of other curious onlookers with cameras.

Delivery: Why stop on land? |

A Godfathers’ Pizza franchise in Springfield, IL, is now
offering shore-side deliveries for boaters. While there currently no
boat-to-boat deliveries to speak of yet, the new routes may open up new money
for the pizzeria. If your store is in cottage country, it may be worthwhile
investigating the pros and cons of waterway delivery.
